Brock finds a wounded Stantler, whom he tries to help recover...
Another strong showing for Brock in this one. Whatever his "pokemon breeder" goals are, this episode is probably a good example of them. The wounded baby Stantler is very sweet; enough so that when Team Rocket captures it, I felt more anger towards them than they usual elicit. I liked how they revealed the baby Stantler illusion, and how they kept Team Rocket out of that part. It would have been an obvious twist, so to have it instead be the baby's defense mechanism was clever. Stantler is not the most interesting Pokemon, but this episode does a solid job of building suspense and giving the new Pokemon something unique to work with.
