Zoidberg gets frisky
Tweekums15 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
When Zoidberg accompanies Fry, Leela and Amy to the gym nobody expected him to get so worked up that he'd run amok and frighten several pregnant women into giving birth in the pool! It turns out it is the mating season for his species and the only solution is to take him back to his home planet. Once there he calms down but has no luck attracting a mate. He meets Edna, an old friend, but she has no interest in mating with him till Fry helps him out with a few seduction techniques. All is going well until she learns it is Fry who was coming up with everything; she then falls for Fry, much to his disgust and Zoidberg's chagrin. Zoidberg challenges Fry to the ritual fight to the death to win Edna's affections... it looks as though the Planet Express team might be down one member!

This episode was a lot of fun; it was great to see Dr Zoidberg take centre stage for once. There was a lot to laugh at; especially if you are a fan of the original series of Star Trek as this is heavily based on the episode 'Amok Time'... Zoidberg's planet even has the music from that episode as its anthem! Given the subject matter many of the jokes are of a 'reproductive nature' which some people my find a bit crude; personally I though they were hilarious!

The One Where Zoidberg Needs To Mate...
taylorkingston5 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really love this episode. It's so funny. I feel so bad for Zoidberg. I can't understand why everyone is always so mean to him. He's a perfectly nice lobster thing.

In this episode, Zoidberg is actually really crazy, and angry towards the Planet Express Ship crew. But then he realizes that his body is reacting like this, because it's mating season for his people, and he needs to, and I quote, "deposit his male jelly." So, everyone travels to Zoidberg's home planet, where he tries to attract a mate, but it doesn't work out so well. After everyone else has mated, all of the other lobster aliens die, because that's what happens after they mate. If you ask me, Zoidberg got the end of the deal.

Title Card: From the network that brought you "The Simpsons".

Worst part of the episode: The term "male jelly".

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.
