And that's the point - the whole series is entertaining and thought provoking for which it doesn't need to be wholly accurate or realistic.

In our real world, Establishments across the globe are corrupt and we respond with glee to the idea that a judge could be 'on our side' and foil the self-appointed worthies. Deed's frailties only serve to make us more empathetic - and anyway, who wouldn't find Jenny Seagrave irresistible? Who cares that it plays a little fast and loose with the facts. The series theme is natural justice, not 'the law'.

As current events demonstrate, populations are growing tired of establishment elites. This thoroughly enjoyable series reflects that feeling and probably goes towards fostering it. What could be better than that?
