This episode picks up the pace with a new set of guests checking in, one of the permanent guests checking out, some political skulduggery and power-mongering both internal to the hotel and external to the city. The tragic lives of some permanent residents are explored a bit further. Our pretty new chambermaid thwarts a groping guest and finds herself a rising love interest.
While some screen time is devoted to the stories of the temporary guests as in any hotel-based TV series ever filmed, what really carries the hour is the increasing complexity of the murder plot, of which little can be said without spoilers.
I'll certainly watch the third episode.
