Up yer pipe! The radiators are on the move.

Watching this, it's a reminder that back in the 1960's many houses wouldn't have had central heating.

Harold naturally choses to install the second hand heating system on the cheap. It's a wonderfully funny episode, with some great moments, naturally this one builds to a crescendo, and it is worth the wait. The scene where the radiators start moving, super funny, that look on Albert's face when he looks at Harold and states 'the radiators, they're on the move,' so very funny.

As always, the pair were superb, a thirty minute double hander, from a time when they knew how to make people laugh, and how to make a sitcom.

So much sarcasm, it's hilarious. 9/10

Those Magnificent Men and Their Heating Machines

I remember when my father had central heating installed in our house when I was a kid. Not sure what to make of it, our house ended up looking all industrial with what looked like corrugated iron and pipes all over the place. We just carried on using the heater in the living room.

These memories came flooding back as Harold decides put up central heating after getting a set of radiators on his round.

Harold and Albert decide to the plumbing themselves which involves a lot of bickering and lots of visible pipes.

Once Harold turns it on the heating system makes a clanking noise, with water gushing from all over the place, even the bed post leaks water, the plaster falls off and they end up without electricity.

It was a shame the picture quality was rather low rent. I guess this was one of the lost episodes which was later found but it was funny.
