This five part documentary was produced for the most recent UK DVD release in 2005, and interviews most of the surviving participants (with the glaring omission of Pauline Collins and John Alderton, who apparently have no interest in discussing the series).
Key episodes, characters and plot lines are discussed at length and accompanied by a large number of clips - what shines through is the love of those involved for their creation, and for those actors, writers and directors who contributed. Actors who went on to greater things - Lesley Anne Down, Gareth Hunt, Simon Williams, Christopher Beeny, offer interesting insights into the series.
An essential accompaniment to the series itself, this documentary presents a thorough insight into Updown as well as celebrating it's success.
