Disney is working on a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph, confirms John C Reilly...
Ah, this is happy news. We’re sizeable fans of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wreck-It Ralph, that was directed by Rich Moore (Zootropolis) and saw John C Reilly voicing the title character. Ralph was an 80s videogame character struggling in the modern world, and since the first film hit big, there’s been constant chatter of a potential sequel.
Yet whilst the subsequent Frozen 2 was quickly confirmed from the normally sequel-averse studio, Wreck-It Ralph 2 has remained just a rumour.
But John C Reilly has just confirmed it. Talking to Collider, he was asked about Wreck-It Ralph and instantly revealed that “well, we’re making another one”.
He added that “we’re working on it”, but that “[animated features] take a long time to make”.
There’s been no official announcement as of yet, but given that...

Sorry, Billy Mitchell, it’s Game Over. At least as far as your lawsuit against Cartoon Network is concerned. Video gamer Mitchell, former world record-holder for high scores in Donkey Kong and Pac-Man, has lost his lawsuit against the network and Turner Broadcasting. Mitchell contended that his likeness had been misappropriated on the series “The Regular Show” for the character Garrett Bobby Ferguson, who appeared as a villain in an episode titled “High Score” and briefly appeared or was mentioned in three other episodes. Adam Sandler would do well to listen to “Game On,” which blares over the end credits of his latest movie, Pixels. “This is not a game now, nobody can save you /Spent up all your change and now your turn is done” sings Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden as he pumps up Waka Flock Flame for improbable lyrics about video arcade stuntin’. As a merchandising tie-in, “Game On” mashes up two artists whose one shared interest is the contract they both signed. As a wake up call though, it’s unintentionally prescient, blasting out the very words Sandler has refused to hear for the past decade as his comedy persona has morphed from the underdog with something to prove to the sweatpants-wearing schlub yelling that he’s “still got it.”
Rest assured, Pixels fits right in with Adam Sandler’s string of films designed...

Among this year.s Academy Award nominees for Best Animated Feature was the 3D animation Wreck-it Ralph, a children.s tale depicting a world with characters from a variety of video games, both fictional and real. Though losing to another Disney production Brave at the Oscars, the film scored a box office victory and was celebrated by many viewers, including both Disney fans and gamers with a retro game nostalgia. The initial idea of the story emerged in the 1980s when Disney had been unsuccessfully developing two related versions of film, High Score and Joe Jump, both of which were set in a world of video games. The project remained in limbo until 2008 when the gamer-turned-director Rich Moore came on board. John Lasseter, the Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation Studios said to Moore at the time, .What if we think about the world of video games as a place to set the animation itself?...

The moves of Juliet Starling and the look of "Killer 7." This is what Grasshopper Manufacture's "Killer is Dead" looks like in action.
"Killer 7" and "Shadows of the Damned" developer Grasshopper Manufacture have certainly put together a good-looking game based on this trailer for this summer's "Killer is Dead." How it will play remains the persistent question about every title put out by rock star developer Suda51's idiosyncratic studio. This stylish hack and slash certainly has more on its mind than a cold-blooded killer cutting down his targets with a cool quip (their games are always excitingly layered even if the gameplay is sometimes the least satisfying of the layers). Grasshopper makes playable Seijin Suzuki (and most recently Lloyd Kaufman) movies, essentially, and I think the industry is better for them.
The official line:
Created by game legend SUDA51, this highly anticipated original game is set in a not-so-distant future...

Lets face it; most of us, if not all of us have dabbled with videogames at some point. Even if you haven’t and don’t know your joystick from your joypad you’ll have heard of the likes of Pacman, Sonic, Mario, Streetfighter and so on. Unfortunately over the years, video games that have been the inspiration for movies have ranged from rubbish to septic. But now, thanks to Wreck-It Ralph that trend has changed in a smashing big way. Finally, the words video games and movie can go together without people cringing, running away or feeling a little queasy. Wreck-It Ralph has been knocking around Disney since the 80’s where it had the working title of High Score. Fast forward to the late 90’s and that changed to Joe Jump. Mid 00’s it was titled Reboot Ralph and now, as you can imagine, it’s called Wreck-It Ralph.

The designers went head to head on last night’s episode of Project Runway All Stars. This week each designer chose an overnight bag and inside the bag was a season. With only 8 designers left that meant each season had two designers. They had to create a look based on the season that the customer could take with them on an overnight trip. The catch this week was the each pair would face off on the runway, one designer would have a high score and the other would end up in the bottom.
The pairs were as follows:
Fall: Mila vs. Rami
Summer: Mondo vs. Kenley
Spring: Austin vs. Kara
Fall: Michael vs. Jerell
The pressure of the face off was enough to create some workroom drama this week.Normally I don’t like Jerell but he had a point last night when Michael ripped off his look. Michael had...

One of the bigger surprises as this year's VGAs was a look at the next game staring Alan Wake, which turned out to be "American Nightmare." Earlier this week the team at Remedy pulled back the curtain on the game's Fight 'Till Dawn mode, as well as what gamers can expect when the game hits Xbox Live Arcade early next year. While it isn't a complete 360 from "Alan Wake," there are a variety of gameplay tweaks and lessons that were learned that developers Oskari "Ozz" Hakkinen and Matias Myllyrinne helped shed some light on at a recent game demo. Below are ten of the most noteworthy developer insights.
From High Score Whiteboard To Reality
Fight 'Till Dawn is more than just an arcade mode tacked on to a story; it's actually the impetus of the whole game. In a surprising turn of events, the story actually came second.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Directed by: Edgar Wright
Cast: Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jason Schwartzman
Running Time: 1 hr 50 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: August 13, 2010
Plot: Boy (Cera) plays bass. Girl (Winstead) plays hard to get. Boy gets girl. Boy must “defeat” all seven of Girl’s evil exes. “And … Fight!”
Who’S It For? For the “young” men and women who think that Mountain Dew is an “energy drink,” and that Ddr is a sort of sport. If you have absolutely zero-precent clues as to what “Ddr” is, then the chances are even higher that this pop-culture love-story action-palooza may not be for you. If I’ve just described your Friday nights, then get in line, n00b.
Expectations: Though I had (once again) abstained from previews, what little footage I saw from Scott Pilgrim made it appear very stylized, and possibly fun. Excited about another “badass” role...
