For a German porn movie at the height of the VHS era, "Confusion" (aka "Ecstasy in Germany") is hard to figure. My best take on it is that the filmmakers wanted to do a real movie but gave up at some point and settled for generic gonzo.
First hint at being different is giving male lead and co-director Backey Jakic top billing over German superstar Kelly Trump. After a romantic style credits sequence, opening scene introduces Backey as a strange man-child, sitting on the floor playing with his train set. Kelly is attracted to him, and when his big dick comes out she starts humping him. Very odd camera angles make this an unusual scene.
Movie is bookended by the duo's romance, but in between its all-sex filler. Angel Heart has a gang-bang out on the grass; Angelique Rose has a double-penetration three-way on a stairway plus a lesbian scene. With Kelly written out of most of the picture you know something went wrong, since she's the reason anybody would have bought or rented the video back in the day.
