Davina McCall has claimed that Big Brother can work, eleven years on.
The star, who fronted all previous UK series of the reality TV show, was speaking about the return of the popular format on Channel 5 later this year. Speaking to Fabulous she said:
“I think the format still has legs. I just feel my time on it has come to an end because I emotionally let go of it that final night…It was so painful, but it’s gone.”
She also revealed the unusual secret to her happy and long-lasting marriage to former Pet Rescue presenter Matthew Robertson, saying:
“At home I play second fiddle to him. What he says goes…I always wanted a real man who’d drag me into his cave.”

Davina McCall refused to let her children watch ‘Big Brother’.
The TV presenter hosted the Channel 4 reality TV show from when it started in 2000 to when it ended last year but she wasn’t keen on kids, Holly, nine, Tilly, seven, and four-year-old Chester seeing the programme because it wasn’t suitable.
She said: “‘Big Brother’ was on too late and there was a lot of swearing in it! It’s probably not healthy for them to watch me on TV too much because I’m not that person to them, I’m their mum.”
While she wouldn’t let them watch ‘Big Brother’, Davina – who is married to ‘Pet Rescue’ host Matthew Robertson – says the whole family like to view her latest TV show, ‘Got To Dance’ because it’s suitable for everyone.
She said: “This is the first show they’ve been allowed to watch. We have...
