CBS has handed a straight-to-series order to Watson, from writer Craig Sweeny (Elementary), Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment and CBS Studios, for the 2024-25 broadcast season. Morris Chestnut is set to play the title role and executive produce the medical drama inspired by the characters from Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes mysteries.
Last January, CBS ordered two drama pilots, Elsbeth starring Carrie Preston and Matlock starring Kathy Bates, as well as writers rooms for two medical drama projects, Watson and The Pact.
In anticipation of a series pickup, CBS and CBS Studios recently attached Chestnut as the lead and Larry Teng as director and executive producer of the first episode, paving the way to a formal greenlight.

Len Goodman’s cause of death has been revealed months after the Dancing with the Stars judge died at 78.
Goodman’s death certificate says that he died after the prostate cancer spread to his bones, according to a report from The Daily Express.
It was on April 22 that Goodman’s agent confirmed that the Strictly Come Dancing judge “died peacefully, surrounded by his family” in hospital.
Goodman was a judge on BBC’s ballroom competition Strictly Come Dancing and the U.S. adaptation Dancing with the Stars on ABC. The television personality had retired from the ABC reality competition after Season 31 saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.
“It’s been a huge pleasure to be a huge part of such a wonderful show,” Goodman said back in November 2022 during the DWTS semi-final. “I cannot thank you enough, the DWTS family. It has been such a wonderful experience for me.

You can now scoop up your very own pair of Bella's Manolo Blahnik embellished wedding pumps! While I thought Bella's Breaking Dawn wedding dress by Carolina Herrera was gorgeous, it was her exquisite Manolo Blahnik pumps that really caught my attention when I first saw the movie. The 4 1/4" satin shoes with a unique, crystal-encrusted vine detailing were like nothing I've ever seen before -- until now! While the shoes were custom-made for the flick, you can now purchase your very own pair for $1,295 -- if you're willing to splurge. Initially, the pumps were planned for release in 2012 -- but luckily, you don't have to wait to purchase the unique heels. Available in both black and white, the shoes are the exact pair we saw on Kristen Stewart in the movie. Designer Carolina Herrera collaborated with the shoe legend on the pretty pumps, which exuded the same vintage elegance that Bella's dress possessed.

I’ve recently noticed a disturbing trend in Hollywood. I’m not sure what to call it but its basically where a well known African American actor wins a prestigious award (Golden Globe, Academy Award, etc) for a great performance and then goes back to choosing mediocre roles like they never won said award. I’ll give a few examples to illustrate the trend.
Jamie Foxx wins an Academy Award for Best Actor (Ray) and then follows it up with Stealth, Law Abiding Citizen, and Valentine’s Day. Halle Berry wins Academy Award for Best Actress (Monster’s Ball) and follows it up with Catwoman, Robots, and X-Men: The Last Stand. Terrance Howard blew us away with his Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in Hustle and Flow (I thought he should have won over Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote) but then followed up with Pride, The Perfect Holiday, and Fighting.
