The then newly-opened (1956) Knollwood Country Club on Balboa Blvd in Granada Hills, CA was used for the golf course location shots. It is interesting to see all the small freshly-planted tree saplings, which are now very mature trees.
Golf carts were just coming into common usage in 1958, but even then most were electric-powered and were designed for two riders. This episode provides a rare and nostalgic look at a unique (and nearly forgotten) style of golf cart. Dan Mathews and Judge Francis ride the course in individual golf carts that accommodate a single rider and have the golf bag mounted in the front rather than the rear. The carts in this episode are also gasoline-powered and they continue to idle even when they are not in motion.
