"Unpack Your Adjectives" is another entertaining "Schoolhouse Rock!" that was also educational

This was yet another educational and entertaining animated "Schoolhouse Rock!" short originally shown between various programs on Saturday mornings on ABC. In this one, Blossom Dearie sings the lyrics of George Newall in describing of herself as a little girl on a camping trip as she "unpacked our adjectives" to some friends about her adventures with a turtle. Among some amusing touches: the girl has a fat kid with a sign saying "dumb" in front of him while the thin one with glasses has "brainy"...until the "dumb" one recites gibberish while above him is written an algebra solution he obviously knows prompting the girl to switch signs. Also amusing, seeing a girl get taller and a boy get smaller before the boy gets stomped during the words "girls born tall, get taller, boys born small, get smaller, till one is the smallest and one is the tallest of all"! Many sound effects are used to add to the humor of this piece. Nothing else to say except that "Unpack Your Adjectives" was another very entertaining "Schoolhouse Rock!" segment that I highly enjoyed as a kid growing up during the '70s.

My favorite one out of the whole collection!

I remember this when I was a little kid. I was born in 1969 and even at 54 yrs old now... every once in a while I spin this up on my Plex server to listen to it for some nostalgia.

It's my favorite one out of them all. Something about this voice is so relaxing. I don't know why, but, I find relaxed listening to this. It's such a catchy tune. The voice is perfect. The lyrics are perfect. LOL!

My next favorite one is Interjections. A very catchy tune.

It's a shame you don't see stuff like this these days. Most of this entire series was very cleverly written and sung...

Did they ever help me remember anything? Probably not... but, they were catchy tunes! LOL!

For the America ones... I do like I'm just a bill, and my favorite America one is No More Kings.

The female vocals in these are superb!

What a nice trip down nostalgia lane. A shame these wonderful pieces of our history will fade into the background...

Review about the tall girl and small boy
summitvalleyjoshb26 January 2016
This song has one scene I was always hooked ever scene I was a kid. The clip where the small boy shrinks to a speck and the tall girl grows right out of the ceiling that after she grew, only her legs and sandals are seen. Then for some reason she stomps on the boy. Even though I'm a guy, I was always fascinated by that clip and I still am. For a long time I always thought this: Okay, so we have a girl and a boy and they might be a big sister and little brother. The girl starts growing a little, until she is the size of the house. She's looking down at the boy smiling and the boy looks up at her and he is amazed at seeing her grow, and I guess he starts laughing because he felt funny at seeing the girl grow (if I saw one of my female friends grow, I'd probably feel funny inside, but it would be enjoyable). The boy then shrink, and then while still looking down and smiling at the boy, the girl grows right through the ceiling until only her legs and sandals are seen. The boy while still laughing shrinks again, and then the girl lifts her foot over the boy. The boy stops laughing and looks scared, and then the girl stomps on him. Why did she stomp him? I mean if the boy knew she was going to stomp him, he would have ran away, but instead he watched her grow and giggled with joy, so the girl and the boy would have had to know each other for a long time and they must have been great friends, or siblings because the girl was smiling at the boy, and the boy was amazed by seeing her grow. I guess the girl felt so alive while being a giantess I guess she stomped him for no reason. Still its a funny 10 second clip and heck sometimes I imagine myself watching some of my female friends grow giantess sized. If that really did happen to me and one of my female friends I would enjoy it, but I wouldn't want to get stomped on because that would kill me.
