When my 2 yr old daughter first saw this show I sat with her and thought omg what the bleep is this bleep!! But when I saw the grin on her face I knew she was instantly hooked!! She absolutely loves the "Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle, Go!" Song and whenever she wants to watch this show she starts doing her wiggle dance and I simply cannot resist! I may not enjoy sitting through it, but if she loves it then why not? It's not made for adults! Some may say it's not educational, but from what I've seen it is MUCH better then watching some violent shoot'em'up show...or something that has no meaning at all, especially to a 2 year old! Plus I am SO tired of watching Barney over and over again! She doesn't watch it every day, as I don't like her in front of the TV on a regular basis, but why not let her have some fun, get some excersise while dancing, and maybe learn something at the same time! Plus it's 30 minutes of Mommy time for me!! lol

I'm all for educational shows, but when they started advertising this show before it actually went on, I thought "what are they on!!??". Never the less my daughter (21 months) and I watch it, and it's fun. They have kids on the show with their "cool tricks", a lot of dancing (what kid doesn't like that?). Their promo is "Life lessons with a beat" which is completely true, they make up little silly songs about everything you do everyday that I find myself repeating throughout the day, songs about eating, cleaning up, not being rough with others, sharing, etc. We sing the "clean-up" song after playing and it works with my kid. I like and I plan on keep watching it.

At ten months old and with limited word comprehension, even my son knows that Yo Gabba Gabba! is AWESOME! As a parent, I agree with the messages and appreciate the lighthearted approach the writers take towards eating vegetables and taking a turn in line. Every episode is different but incorporating both art and dance, including something for everyone. I agree with my son as he holds onto a table (not yet walking) and smiles and dances - the music is great. Sort of children's techno-house? Sweet alternative lullabyes? The visuals are indescribable - all I can say is that it's filled with an overwhelmingly positive yet surreal series of images that can only be described as "eye candy." If you're DONE with the purple dinosaur and refuse to serve Disney with the McNuggets, I suggest Yo Gabba Gabba! and have fun watching and dancing to a show together. Jacobs and Shultz, you guys rock. Hope you have a long and prosperous career (for my son's sake).

I found that Yo Gabba Gabba, like many other kid shows currently on TV wasn't nearly as good or as educational as the classics like Sesame Street, Blues Clues, Scooby Doo, etc. Sesame Street and Blues Clues never sounded that way. And unlike other shows Yo Gabba Gabba doesn't make any sense what-so-ever. They think that bright colors, weird costumes, and blinking lights are what make a good, educational children's show. Blues Clues made sense, every episode Steve solves one of Blue's riddles. This show makes absolutely no sense. But the main reason i didn't like this show was because i felt it talked down to kids like they are dumb. Being an educational kid's show doesn't mean you need to talk down to them

Yo Gabba Gabba IS a happy show and it IS educational, unlike what the previous person wrote. The songs are catchy, and do teach lessons children need to learn. It's not random and just brightly colored. There are themes to each show, careful, family, food, sleep etc...

The producers are musicians and incorporate music into every show. My 3 year old and I love to dance and sing to the songs and find ourselves singing them even when the show is off!! Obviously it's not a substitute for education, but a fun and unique way to spend half an hour having fun and learning.

I can't wait until the DVDs come out.
