We’re just eight days away from learning which Dancing With the Stars contestant will hoist that Mirrorball over his or her head — but first, they had to clear the hurdle of Monday’s semifinals.
The five remaining pairs performed two routines during Monday’s broadcast: For the first, each pro got to choose a song that they thought best encapsulated his or her partner. For the second — arguably one of the series’ most difficult rounds in recent memory — couples were asked to recreate an iconic, perfect-score-receiving routine from a past season of DWTS. (As if getting to the finale weren’t stressful enough.

As iconic and as legendary as Green Day are, they are not invincible. Despite genre defining records such as Warning or Dookie – or even their magnum opus, American Idiot – they are still subject to scrutiny when it’s warranted. For the latter half of 2012 … well, it was warranted. The group took a risk, maybe too big of a risk, on the trilogy of records known as ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! that were released in the fall of 2012, and they weren’t even part of the same collection.
Each its own separate full-length and each its own selection in the band’s discography, the records maybe caught even more heat than if they were just released as a triple disc. To say the lackluster albums tarnished the band’s twenty year legacy may be harsh, but there was a point when most thought that ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! were simply a...

Batten down your hatches - Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! is now making landfall on both sides of the Atlantic.
With the UK getting its first glimpse of the Asylum's latest disaster-piece tonight (July 23), we bring you the 8 best and very worst moments from Sharknado 3 below:
1. White House Down
There's a certain art to a Sharknado opening scene. Viewers want their man-eating sharks and lots of blood from the get-go, and each new movie has to find a new way to satisfy them.
This time around, a hokey presidential ceremony - complete with a genuinely depressing cameo from all-time great comedian Robert Klein for the second year running - for the one-man army known as Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) was quickly dispatched so the sharks could starting destroying the Us capital.
Producers The Asylum's choice to give non-actors Mark Cuban and Ann Coulter lots of speaking lines in Sharknado was a bit negligible,...

Uh-oh, somebody made a woopsie! During their televised Grammy Awards coverage, The Ellen DeGeneres Show accidentally mistook Pink's husband, Carey Hart, for celeb drummer Travis Barker when identifying the names on the bottom of the screen! (Granted, the two men have similar facial features and are both covered in tattoos). The singer caught wind of the televised error, but she didn't seem to mind too much. In fact, she tweeted a screengrab of the mistake and laughed the entire thing off. "Hahaha Omg @TheEllenShow oops," she wrote on Twitter. Regardless, the Grammys was a great night for the performer, who entertained the room full of big names with a spectacular aerial...

James Wolk might be cheating on Max. The sexy, furry star has been cast in Greg Berlanti's Political Animals on USA. But the good news is that this is a miniseries, so he should still be free to make out with Max on Happy Endings at will.
The U.S. Navy has announced plans for the USS Gabrielle Giffords, a shallow-water combat ship named in honor of the retired Congresswoman, who they say exemplifies bravery.

Five prominent editors and journalists from Rupert Murdoch's The Sun have been arrested in connection with police bribery in what appears to be an ever-widening probe of Murdoch's media empire. Sadly, I don't think the FBI is up to investigating Fox News during an election year.
Angelina Jolie confirmed that her next project is a kids movie for Disney. She's going to play the lead in Maleficent. I...

It may come to you as no surprise that Kristen Bell is a huge George Carlin fan. But did you know that she once co-composed a musical based on his comedy? The Twitter-Wood feed picked up a few details about her un-produced masterpiece today, and I have to say, someone should get that on stage -- soon!
Other Twitter-Wood revelations included Rose McGowan's willingness to appear on "Mad Men" -- yet another move I would support! Several other tweets may be slightly less shocking -- for instance, that Tom Felton's hair-dying adventures have resumed, or that Kevin Nealon makes jokes about Kim Jong Il. You'll understand when you read today's Twitter-Wood report below. But first, for those of us out there without ready access to a beach, here's Miley Cyrus laughing in our faces in the Twitter Pic of the Day.
Twitter Pic of the Day:
