Baby you can drive my car
ctomvelu-127 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
A robot-type car is the site of the death of an officer, and at first the death appears to be a suicide. That is, until Abby finds herself locked in the vehicle with exhaust fumes pouring into the passenger compartment. Gibbs comes to the rescue, and now the team realizes they are dealing with a murder, not a suicide. The suspense builds nicely in the Abby scene, with McGee turned away at a critical moment, immersed in his work and not realizing Abby is in trouble. Mercifully, Gibbs walks in at that moment to see what's going on. Meanwhile, Tony seems to be spending a lot of time at the local hospital, which is making Ziva nervous. She will find out soon enough what's going on.

Fun episode, inaccurate about CO
eporter-129-71517225 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Tony's side mission was great. I'm curious what all of these things are building up to.

Making fun of the sexual harassment training was funny too.

I know it's fiction, but the episode was very inaccurate about carbon monoxide (CO). Cars mostly produce carbon dioxide (CO2). CO is produced when fuel is burned with insufficient oxygen. Any new car has a computer to make sure the combustion is at the right mixture. I suppose the killer could have altered the fuel mix, but why would an SUV have the option to vent exhaust fumes into the interior?

CO doesn't kill you in 3 minutes. You can survive without oxygen for longer.

I was able to pick out the bad guy in the first 10 minutes like usual. The early obvious suspect(s) are rarely guilty. The killer is the other person with screen time and no apparent motive yet.

Tony's Best Scene Ever! Warning: Spoilers
This episode has a good plot, a good mystery with several twists. What really makes this one great is Tony's hilarious beatnik reporting of his stakeout at the restaurant. Tony's best scene ever! The writers really earned their pay with this one. And it is Weatherly's talent that pulled it off. Tony the character may be a sexist scum bag (IMHO) but Weatherly's talent can't be denied. However, any episode with Snottie Thompson in it automatically gets a deduction in rating. Just my opinion, but I just don't like her.
