Plot Summary

Walter White is a chemistry genius but works as a chemistry teacher at a high school in an Albuquerque, New Mexico. His life drastically changes when he's diagnosed with stage III terminal lung cancer and given a prognosis of two years to live. To ensure that his pregnant wife and handicapped teenage son have a financial future, he uses his chemistry background to create and sell the world's finest crystal methamphetamine. To sell his signature "blue meth", he teams up with Jesse Pinkman, a former student of his. The meth makes them very rich very quickly, but it attracts the attention of his DEA brother-in-law, Hank. As Walter and Jesse's status in the drug world escalates, Walter becomes a dangerous criminal and Jesse becomes a hot-headed salesman. Hank is always hot on his tail, and it forces Walter to come up with new ways to cover his tracks. Written by halo1k, jackenyon

Edit
Trivia Jesse Pinkman was originally slated to be written out by the 9th episode. During the hiatus caused by the writers' strike, creator Vince Gilligan, impressed by Aaron Paul's portrayal of Jesse as well as everybody just liking Paul, decided to reinstate the character and have Jesse's fate be given to another character in the finale of the first season. Goofs In the opening credits, letters in the names of the cast and crew are highlighted in green to represent chemical element symbols. However, the "Ch" in Michael Slovis' name was highlighted in several early episodes, even though Ch is not a chemical element symbol. In later episodes, only the "C" (for Carbon) is highlighted. Quotes Walter White: Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see? Do you know how much I make a year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn't believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop going into work? A business big enough that it could be listed on the NASDAQ goes belly up. Disappears. It ceases to exist, without me. No, you clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not in danger, Skyler. I AM the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No! I am the one who knocks!
