Fred's name is never spoken or mentioned.
First episode of the series and the one that established Velma's ongoing joke of losing her glasses which she does when Scooby bumps into her trying to get away from the Black Knight.
Only episode to establish an actual date in the series. When Shaggy and Scooby bring the gang back to the pick-up, the instructions to deliver the suit to the museum is dated June 10, 1969.
One of the only few episodes to show items in the van. When you typically see the inside of the van, it's empty unless the gang need something. Fred pulls a full length wooden ladder from the van to get Shaggy in the museum. The angle shows numerous items at the back of the van like ropes and a first-aid kit. Typically, depictions from inside the van show it completely empty.
Only episode to mention Shaggy was a gymnast in high school. This is mentioned by Daphne as Shaggy needs to jump up from a ladder and into the museum window. This throwaway line may also answer the common question of how, in the oft repeated chase footage of Scooby and Shaggy running from danger, can Shaggy run as fast as a Great Dane.
