Fairly funny, except the beginning

"Ali G's Christmas Message to the Nation" already says exactly what this film is about. It is Oscar nominee Sacha Baron Cohen channeling his inner hip hop artist again for the holidays season. It starts fairly unfunny, but when we see the interview with the likable Reverend, things get better and funnier quickly. The ending with the children is fairly solid as well. No real great or laugh-out-loud level, but very watchable, especially if you like the character of Ali G. You will probably have seen him in something else if you consider watching these 10 minutes here. There's also a couple references to the new millennium. Wow, it's already 15 years ago now. Quite a while. Anyway, back to this one here. It was directed and co-written by Dan Mazer who also worked on "Borat", "Brüno"... Longtime collaborator of Sacha Baron Cohen. A solid watch for the holidays here. I recommend it.
