Oliver Laurier, Bones' 'Number 1' fan, lives in an apartment numbered 206. 206 is the number of bones in the human body.
Camille reminds Temperance that in her books, Kathy Reichs always gets the murderer. And Booth mentions that Kathy and the FBI end up doing 'it' in the back of a vehicle in the book. Kathy Reichs wrote the books which inspired Bones.
This same plot device was used in the pilot episode of Castle. Coincidentally, Darby Stanchfield, who played the first victim's wife, also played one of Rick Castle's ex-wives (and Alexis's mother).
The same picture used for the Jim Lopata character is used again in The Cinderella in the Cardboard (2009). Near the end of the episode, Angela is reviewing pictures of the men that the victim met through a dating service, called "Date or Hate." She thinks that the picture of the last man the victim met through the service, Owen Smith, is too perfect, and later discovers that his picture is a composite of four other men. As Angela is looking at the pictures of the men that the victim dated, there is a close-up of the photos. Angela turns over the picture of Owen Smith, revealing in her other hand a picture of an unnamed man, which is the same picture used for the Jim Lopata character.
Oliver Laurier (Chris Conner) is said to have vasovagal syncope which means he faints at the sight of blood. However, in the Pilot episode where he is first introduced he is told by Booth and Brennan to help tend to a leg gunshot of the murder that Brennan shot in self defense.
