Chris Beniot (W/Brian Pillman) Vs Alex Wright
Beniot wins with a dragon suplex. Not too shabby! Not too shabby at all. It had a nice chain of reversals, along with some solid wrestling. Despite how goofy and lanky Alex Wright looked, he could hold his own in the ring.
**
"Lord" Steven Regal Vs Eddie Guerrero
Eddie wins with a backslide. This was a pretty decent match! Regal viciously beats the crap out of Eddie for a lot of the match. Some of the shots Eddie took were pretty harsh! It was a nice story of Eddie's resiliency overcoming Regal's brutality and overzealous nature
**1/2
Gene Okerlund brings out Sting and Lex Luger for an interview. Sting is questioning Luger's loyalty towards him because Luger cost Sting a chance at the WCW title. Luger wants to make it up to Sting and form a tag team. Sting accepts Luger's proposition.
Sting Vs Diamond Dallas Paige
Sting wins by submission with the Scorpion Deathlock. This wasn't a very good outing for these two. DDP wasn't quite fully refined yet and Sting couldn't elevate his level enough to really make this into anything noteworthy.
*1/2
Ric Flair & Arn Anderson Vs Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage
Hogan gets a mixed reaction. Hogan and Savage win when Hogan pins Anderson after a legdrop. Chaos ensues when The Dungeon of Doom come out and brawl with the Four Horsemen. The Giant is also present, chokeslamming Hogan and Savage. Everyone seemed to be on auto-pilot in this match. Technically, it was fine, there just wasn't all that much excitement going on.
**1/4
This Nitro ended in chaotic fashion, AGAIN. It's basically the same thing every week, only in different ways. The crowds were essentially begging to cheer the Horsemen so I guess they are the De facto faces in that feud with The Dungeon of Doom. If you get past the usual Hogan crap, you can see some decent wrestling.
