The documentary Blame It On The Fish is much like the short Horrible Swill piece from Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People, except it's much more psychedelic in viewing. Horrible Swill had the raw feeling of all the "Brown" work from that era. But both are about as abstract as it gets. Blame It On This Fish does a good job showing fans an inside view of Primus's reformation and 2003-2004 tours. Lots of good Primus music and live shots. And several good interviews with the band including one with Les Claypool made up to look like he's 102 years old.
The real nice thing about the DVD are the special features. The Primus 2065 video outlines the history of Primus since it was born in 1984. (Excluding the Jay Lane reformation of 2010 and whatever other future the band holds) Fish On holds a load of excellent extra live footage.
If you are a big Primus fan, Blame It On The Fish will be a valuable part of your collection. Especially for those who loved the band before the Brown Album and Antipop era. Most of the music is from Frizzle Fry-Pork Soda.
