NEW YORK -- Ion Media Networks has partnered with Bodog Entertainment for a late-night programming block, the companies said Monday.
The late-night programming includes the rights for two young-adult-targeted shows owned by Bodog, BodogFight mixed-martial arts and Calvin Ayre Wildcard Poker. Ayre is founder of Bodog Entertainment.
The programming begins Feb. 13 with BodogFight: St. Petersburg at 11 p.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays. The BodogFight shows will be capped with a mixed-martial arts event in Russia and will kickoff on Ion during a three-hour primetime special BodogFight: USA vs. Russia that will air Feb. 17.
Additional programming is possible in the future, the companies said.
"Bodog's dynamic approach to creating and promoting innovative content is a great fit for attracting and serving the typically younger late-night audience," said Brandon Burgess, president and CEO of the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Ion.
