Gus and Harley continue to worry about whether or not they will be allowed to keep baby Sydney. Gus knows that Daisy's actions will not help their case, but he keeps his knowledge secret. Daisy tries to get out of testifying at the custody hearing, saying she gets to nervous and might hurt their chances. Josh confides in Billy that he feels helpless in helping Cassie cope with the loss of Tammy. For possibly the first time, Josh is not sure he can fix his family. Billy takes Josh to the church and tells him that sometimes a person just has to throw their hands up and put their faith in a higher power to make sure things will work out. Frank attempts to question Alan about his involvement in Tammy's hit-and-run and Jonathan's car crash. Alan continues to stress that he had nothing to do with either situation. Cassie sneaks in and confronts Alan and she rattles him so, he insinuates that he was involved, just as Frank entered the room. Frank places Alan under arrest. Gus arrives to question his father, but Alan is still stubborn. Gus asks him why he can't be the type of man that any of his sons want to be around. Daisy tricks Ziggy, a skateboarder, into letting her watch his bag. She saw previously that he had drugs in the bag and she steals them. Later, Harley catches her daughter high at the house, but Harley refuses to see what is wrong with Daisy. Daisy makes the excuse that she had been crying earlier and that is way her eye's look funny. Doris Wolfe visits Gillespie in the hospital and he sign's a confession incriminating Alan in Tammy's hit-and-run. The deal made with the D.A. allows Gillespie to be free of all charges by implicating Alan. Daisy arrives to visit Gillespie and while she is trying to get him to leave town, Harley is about to walk into the hospital room, catching her daughter with the hit man!
