When Marcel Perez finds two burglars leaving the scene of the crime carrying sacks of loot, he pursues them on his bicycle.
Perez seems to have begun his show business career as a trick cyclist; at least, his earliest known movie in THE HEAR-SIGHTED CYCLIST from 1905. Despite hard work by film historian Steve Massa, there's little known about him. It's all Perez' fault, as he changed his life history almost every time he told it, and his screen name with every time he switched studios. Nonetheless, throughout his career, he did shorts that centered on him riding a bicycle, usually disastrously and funnily, and this is one of them.
