Could have been a lot better
hudsonda416 September 2014
Notice that there are only 23 ratings including mine on this video. The other reviewer of this movie is obviously a huge fan of the main actress (he babbles on about her in his review) and overrated this movie because of it.

The acting is barely okay. There was no character development so you don't care what happens really. And if you're one of those people who notices plot holes this movie will drive you insane. Another problem is that we have seen this exact movie before and this movie brought nothing new to these movies.

This movie just has too many problems to be enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.

The only good thing is the dog
Leofwine_draca18 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
SAVAGED is a truly terrible shot-on-video production made in 2008. The film is so cheap that it consists of a single actress wandering around an empty home and occasionally talking to herself for the entire running time. Other characters come and go but this is very much a single person feature.

I can imagine few directors would be able to pull off that premise and turn it into an interesting production, and certainly the guy who directs this is unable to do so. SAVAGED is dull, dull, dull, and the back story about a killer bear is just lame. Debbie Rochon tries to act distressed as the protagonist but just comes across as bored, and who can blame her? The only good thing about it is the cute dog.

Run Lotus, Run!...
azathothpwiggins15 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
SAVAGED begins with two, apparently headless people leaving on a trip. Enter Maria (Debbie Rochon), who has arrived to watch the decapitated couple's dog, Lotus (Valkrie). Maria and Lotus get acquainted, have many long conversations, and share a peanut butter sandwich. The action level rises when Maria takes Lotus for a walk, resulting in Lotus smelling something. We know this due to the strange flatulence that seems to occur.

Back inside, more human / canine discussion takes place. Maria really opens up to Lotus, who looks on, bemusedly. The tension mounts as Lotus takes a dump out back, and Maria makes a phone call. Soon, Lotus takes a nap somewhere, while a backstory about an evil boyfriend is introduced. Lotus checks in to see if a movie of some sort is going on.

Nope.

Maria wonders if she should read a book, but takes a nap instead. The doorbell rings. It's the town's sheriffs. One with a beard. Back in the house, that odd farting noise returns. Maria finds a gun.

Suddenly, I break the fifth wall, begging her to just shoot me!

She doesn't.

At least Maria does take a lovely bubble bath. Her mom calls. Lotus groans. Is she the source of that mysterious, gaseous sound? Maria talks to herself. A lot. Lotus looks forlorn.

Dear God, make something, anything interesting happen! Please? Do you even exist? "No" says Lotus.

Growls out back. The cops reappear, the bearded one's face so red he looks like a moldy tomato. He'll return again for another chat. And on and on.

My friends, if you're looking for a movie with which to torture your enemies, this is it! Watch, as their brains scream for death! Otherwise, don't do this to yourselves...

Cujo's Cousin,Debbie Rochon at her TOPLESS BEST !
guestar571 October 2008
SAVAGED Starring Debbie Rochon & Valkrie Don't let her out after dark! What a great script, Sets up the situation, Gets to know the characters and lets us discover the plot unfolding.

Hocus-Focus Studios have outdone themselves with this wonderful movie. Debbie Rochon NEVER looked better, Performed such victim-tainted scenes and does the job EVERY star should do !!! Valkrie is such a good canine actor and used as if trained by Rudd Weatherwax or Frank Inn( Google them up peoples). The makeup was used only once, But very effectively in a mauling. Side note: Heard the writer and director were really attacked by dog on set ?
