This obscure bit can be found, if you know where to look

This show, if you know where to find it, is an enjoyable and surprising film. This is because although I have seen a lot of clips from Live Aid on other British comedian's DVDs, this one is different. It does not consist of one or two comedy bits excised out of a larger show. Instead, it seems that they did something unique--they gave the show to Matt Lucas and David Walliams and let them do characters from "Little Britain". In some cases, they had other celebrities join in--such as Dawn French and Russell Brand. However, even with these cameos, the show remained Lucas and Williams'--and filled with the sort of wonderful (and often crude and disgusting, thank goodness) skits. Wonderful and better than a typical episode from the series. The only problem is who is going to know that you need to get the "Little Britain Abroad" DVD in order to see this! Do get it--"Little Britain Abroad" is among their best work and the extras (not just this Live Aid appearance) are surprisingly good and there are plenty of them. A must-see for the devoted fan.

Just the same show but with celebs

I loved Little Britain Live. I actually saw them live at The Odyssey in Belfast back '06. I also had the pleasure of seeing Mr Walliams do the Buffalo Bill. The first, but hopefully not the only celeb I had ever seen naked in real life.

Anyway, I saw the show again on DVD for the first time in years. And saw this Comic Relief version in Poundland and decided to get it.

What a waste of a pound.

Yes, it's the exact same sketches but with celebrities in them. The plots and jokes are the same but it's with celebrities.

So what?

Yes, I know it's for charity. Even though these celebs are being paid more than the money that is actually funded for the needy, but......

HEY, FOLKS! DO YOU LIKE LITTLE Britain? WELL, HERE'S LITTLE Britain LIVE, ONLY THIS TIME WITH CELEBRITIES!

Yeah, your fave celebs are in it....... but....... does that make the exact same show any better?

No.

It doesn't.

The celebs just seem out of place and serve no purpose.

They're just here for the sake of being famous.

Peter Kay plays Brian Potter, who introduces a sketch. And even he (not in character as Brian) looks fed up and insulted by the whole scenario as much as we are.

The actual Live show worked cos it was David and Matt. Here, the focus is on the celebs.

Just pointless.
