A very good film
veblenherve30 January 2009
This movie really hits the heart as few Mexican films do. The story is amazing and strange, so sensitive. Acting is good and also the cinematography ( they certainly knew which lens would be going on the camera and why; they certainly knew how to move the actors on the set and when).

The girl is beautiful and the fat guy on the radio set great as well as the father.

There is something special here you will never forget. Why? I don't know, I just can't put that feeling in words.

People like me don't know much about Spanish or Mexican films, but I think we need to see more of this kind. I particularly loved the dance and hypnosis scenes and the voyage to happiness. ¿ A Fassbinder call?

Good movie!

This film is both fascinating and deeply disturbing, specially in the remarkable final scene ( one the best final scenes I have seen). "Esperame en otro mundo"is a beautiful looking movie, very emotional, so touching; in my opinion one of the most memorable Mexican films in many years.

The story focuses on love and time, lively music and sad music, mental health and illness, present and past lifes, functional and dysfunctional family, thats about life. If you like real people talking and authentic, this a movie to be seen, think and let it grow in the memory.

A total waste

What an experience! I have just paid for see this one and want that money back into my pocket! Nothing can be saved in this movie. The actors' direction is ridiculous (Margarita Sanz had never been worse), the plot is silly and pitiful, the whole "decoupage" is worthy of someone who has never seen cinema, and the project seems the work of some amateur who badly wants to be a filmmaker an has not sensibility o rhythm or pulse or nothing to be consider as one. This film is a painful step back in. It causes an amount of laughs that are not foreseen in a screenplay that is supposed to be a drama. With this movie Villaseñor does that we wonder if " Por si no te vuelvo a ver " was entirely an accident.

I love it !!!

Here's a great movie with a very original story and good actors, all of them. I's absolutely recommended. A work full of sensibility and high doses of cinema.

From a script honest and accurate work that has nothing to do with the kind of cinema that usually is arriving from Latin America, this film is truly touching, perhaps more than any I've seen lately.

In "Esperame en otro mundo" ( what a disturbing title!) deeper things are said in a very natural way, thanks to intelligent direction work with all the crew.

Besides cinematography is beautiful (oh, that jacaranda flowers, I just can't stop to seen then again and again), and the music is a real pleasure.

You'll love it.
