This was just an average episode until those final moments. You can't go wrong with Bob Odenkirk, an actor who can make just looking at a bottle of alcohol and a gun funny, but the power behind the cancer diagnosis was well done. This show manages to balance comedy and drama as well as anyone.

Funny and sad

Greetings from Lithuania.
"The Kominsky Method's" episode 5 of season 2 was more sad then funny. But that is not a bad thing. I like this show - its very easy to watch, and when you have small and great cameos like in this episode (i won't spoil) - its even better.
Overall, i do enjoy this show and this season. Looking forward to watch next episodes.

Better Call Shenckman

The chances of getting something serious as we age are always out there. The guys have lunch with Mindy's guy and Norman gives him a really hard time. Sandy is sort of flip. The guy has a heart attack and that scares Sandy into seeing a doctor for a full physical, which has mixed results. His doctor is quite recognizable and does about five minutes of hilarity. But Sandy is in for some bad news.

Warning: Spoilers
Interesting that Bob "Saul Goodman" Odenkirk gives Michael Douglas the same diagnoses that Breaking Bad's Walter White gets on that show, making this a sort of Cable Streaming Convergence. The meeting up of the two Arkin characters: Arkin himself and the man who'd replace him eventually, is funny, and gives Arkin some great one-liners; hurray for him for not caring about the overblown dirtbag concert Woodstock (he instead praises the Newport Jazz Festival). Anyhow, good episode, and has the Disease of the Week thing that occurs in many streaming dramedies.
