Let me start this review by saying that the 2.9 this 90-minute television movie currently stands at is a bit too low. However, it is not a great film either. It is one of these movies where I felt there are no really big flaws. The acting is okay, the writing is not bad, the direction is fine, but yet something is missing to make it a good viewing experience. It is about a female very career-focused doctor (around 60) who ends up with her three grandchildren as her daughter has to leave all of a sudden trying to fix her marriage. She gets some good help from her husband though, the kids' grandfather. Two of the kids, a boy and a girl are fairly small and the third is a teenage daughter experiencing struggles with her boyfriend and her rebel phase as well. And as if that was not already enough the central character (played by Thekla Carola Wied) faces some struggles in her marriage as well. Apart from Wied, the only one I knew from the cast is Otto Mellies. Unless you count the elevator boy from "Das Leben der Anderen", that is.

The film's director is Dirk Regel and he has lots of television experience already. Same goes for the writer Christiane Sadlo. The film's title refers too a mountain climbing idea the main couple has, but it's still a bit random. All in all, it's not really a particularly memorable film and I cannot recommend it. The best thing about it was maybe a cute rabbit, but he had a far too small cage in my opinion and also not a fellow rabbit to live with it.
