Shot over six days in June and October of 2018. With the exception of the ninja fight, it was shot entirely in chronological order.
The poster, designed by Spanish artist Manuel Jiménez Palma, contains various in-jokes in Japanese, including driving directions and the warning label from a laundry detergent bottle.
Spanish actor Lle Godoy was originally cast as the Thug but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. His replacement, Alejandro Romero, was originally an extra.
The film is dedicated to editor Iván Aledo, who was director André Mileti's professor in Madrid during his studies there.
The parodies in the "good half" of the film of Gritty Crime Noirs, French New Wave, Indie Darlings, and Serious Filmmaking were largely constructed in the editing process. In the original screenplay, the latter half was originally intended as a parody of commercials and music videos.
