First and foremost, I believe the bad user ratings for this movie were solely given by people who have not seen it. It is exactly these people I would strongly advise to watch it. I loved this documentary. I was surprised by how the Bundeswehr progressed in learning about gender. The Bundeswehr "characters" certainly checked some boxes for cliches, but their ability to be open was inspiring. However, it is also certainly thanks to Anastasias fearlessness, even if she is nervous, that even some of the most reactionary military personnel can begin to understand about LGBT+. Best part of the documentary is her wife, though, who is absolutely hilarious.
