Screened at the Jagran Film Festival, 2023, at Cinepolis, ‘Pind Daan’, the short film produced by Wild Buffaloes Entertainment, starring Aadil Jaipuri, son of legendary lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri and directed by Divyansh Pandit, received a stellar response from the audience. The short film also stars the veteran artist Yatin Karyekar as the antagonist.
When Aadil was asked about his experience of witnessing such a response to his performance, he said, “I was overwhelmed. From being someone who attended film festivals as a cinephile to this day, where I watched myself as the lead in a short film at a reputed film festival like Jagran, is in itself an inexplicable experience. My family and friends were present as well. I was literally in tears to see the response of not just my family but also the audience. In fact after the screening, there were a lot of people who came to click pictures with me.

There seems to be some positive development for the exhibition trade, as some filmmakers are venturing to release their films at the cinema halls. Last year, due to Corona, some of the best release slots were lost. Since then, neither filmmakers nor viewers have come forward to take in a movie at a cinema hall.
Not that any film released since lockdown in cinema halls was withdrawn -- albeit with restrictions -- had what is called face value or promotion. The few films that managed to release were not worth one's while even during normal situation, least of all in Corona time.
Since the cinemas reopened in September last year, films like "Khali Peeli", "Bolo Hau", "Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari", "Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi", "12 'O' Clock", "Madam Chief Minister", "Kaagaz", "Indoo Ki Jawani", "Amma Ki Boli" and a few other such films released in cinema halls. They had...

Mumbai, Feb 26: Bollywood filmmakers never miss a chance to sensationalize, to grab a few extra eyeballs. This year, makers seem to have hit the idea of quirky titles. Liger to Looop Lapeta, Pagglait to Bell Bottom, and Gangubai Kathiawadi to Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, names of films really take an unusual turn this year.
Quirky titles bordering on being tongue-twisters, of course are not new to Bollywood. In the past, the industry made Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Badhti Ka Naam Dadhi, Jal Bin Machhli Nritya Bin Bijli, Allah Meherban Toh Gadha Pahelwan and Dhoti Lota Aur Chowpatty.
Here are some recent titles that render the films in question a dash of added audience interest.
Liger
Imagine a cross breed between a Lion and Tiger! That's Vijay Deverakonda for you - at least in spirit, going by the title of his next film. The poster and title created a frenzy on social media upon launch.

Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi
Starring: Naseeruddin Shah,Vikrant Massey, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vinay Pathak, Supriya Pathak and Vineet Kumar
Written & Directed by Seema Pahwa
What a wonderful way for Indian cinema to begin the year! Let me say straightaway that Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi is a very fine film, and a spectacular start not just to this year, but also to veteran actress Seema Pahwa’s career as a director. Her understanding of the basically selfish selfserving nature of humankind is so deep, amd so bang-on that five minutes into the film I felt I was sitting awkwardly as part of Ramprasad’s grieving family, their sickening squabbles over tea and bathroom time, and later on, their bickering over their father’s property, all so lived-in so real it is hurtful even while it is amusing to the extreme.

Konkona was present at Jio Mami 21st Mumbai Film Festival with Star, where Seema Pahwa's directorial debut "Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi", which features her, was screened.
"I have been attending Mami from even before I shifted base to Mumbai. I was so young then, I would come here with friends, sit in a bus and run around to watch films from one venue to another. I love film festivals because I feel that I belong to the film-watching community. These people, standing in long queues and watching films one after another, are the true filmlovers," Konkona told a publication:
