Sex & Nudity

  • In multiplayer some of the calling cards have sexual images including heavy cleavage and short skirts in girls, some of the stores have mannequins clothed or non clothed.

Violence & Gore

  • Many of the missions have child death in them. Bodies of dead children can be seen clearly throughout certain set pieces. This is done for emotional impact and to show the horrors of war crimes.
  • Shooting enemies will result in realistic blood spray that stains surfaces and it will pool underneath dead bodies. High powered guns such as sniper rifles will completely take limbs clean off. Though note that gore is disabled by default and has to be turned on via the settings menu in order for it to be in effect.
  • Unlike other games their is no "good guys". Both the Russians and Americans commit questionable acts. War is not glorified in any way and doesn't portray the American or Russians as these heroic soldiers fighting in a blaze of glory.
  • The game in general contains some blood when players are attacked. Gore can be turned on or off.

Profanity

  • Strong Language such as F*ck is used frequently throughout.
  • Strong language is used a lot during the campaign such as as* sh*t godam* son of a bi** and the F word is used frantically throughout.
  • 50+ F-Words
  • Profanity can be turned off in settings

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Captain Price is occasionally seen smoking cigars.
  • Player calling cards and skins may have direct references to marijuana.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Many war crimes are committed such as, innocent children, woman and men being killed, chemical weapons being used on military and innocents, torture, terrorism and realistic war violence.
  • Overall the violence in the game is extremely realistic unlike its predecessors and is used to show the consequences of armed conflicts, all in a manner reminiscent of "Spec Ops: The Line". It shows the true horrors of war as it is, and doesn't glorify it by any means. All in all, it gives the player a raw and disturbing look at modern day war.
  • Multiplayer is the least intense mode of the game. And more than likely where a lot of players will be spending their time.
  • This game has the most realistic horror in the series. Most of the missions will have your character witnessing, committing or experiencing a war crime.
  • Warzone is similar to other battle royale games. Making it one of the least intense modes of the game.
  • Multiplayer okay for mature 10+
  • Multiplayer would be OK for teens 13+ but leave the campaign for mature teens 16+

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • There is a terrorist attack in London, at Piccadilly Circus where many innocent people are gunned down. Suicide bombers are also present during the attack.
  • In a failure scenario (game over screen) a man has his head cut off with a machete (shown from behind)
  • The mission, "Clean House" is the most violent part of the game. It's an extremely realistic and brutal mission in which the player raids a house killing unarmed and armed male/female combatants. Shooting enemies will result in the them slowly dying in a graphic fashion, such as choking on blood, begging for their lives, or rolling around on the ground in pain. Your squad mates will shoot and execute injured enemies. The player can do the same. Innocent casualties can also occur.
  • The game has many scenes of Child death, Dismemberment and Blood. The multiplayer includes Dismemberment and Blood.
  • There is one particularly violent mission in the game where you play as Farah as a kid. You are trying to escape from Russian soldiers. A Russian soldier kills your father and you and your brother have to kill the Russian soldier. In the beginning in order to kill him you have to stab him several times with scissors or a screwdriver. It is very brutal and bloody

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One scene shows three innocent people getting hanged from a crane in retaliation for unrelated rebel attacks.
  • A father is shot in front of his son. The boy runs away and is shot running.
  • Hometown is a very disturbing mission..lots of innocent people are gunned down, and kids are in danger as young Farah and hadir roam the town covered in gas. You'll encounter animals suffering on the floor, like dogs, goats, and people dead. Very upsetting for animal lovers, as the dogs cry out, very hard to watch.
