- Tom Sawyer: A man ought to have his partner along on a job like that...
- Huckleberry Finn: Nah, you just go and have a good time. And I'll see you when you get back.
- Becky Thatcher: I don't like it down here anymore.
- Tom Sawyer: Well just think of the adventure we're having. Just think of what everyone will say once they found that we went exploring. They'll think we're the bravest people in the world.
- Huckleberry Finn: [narrating] It's one thing to say you're gonna find somebody, but it sure is something else to do it.
- Becky Thatcher: I don't think they'll ever find us down here.
- Tom Sawyer: Well sure they will. I'll bet a pirate's treasure on it!
- Huckleberry Finn: [narrating] One thing you gotta say about Tom Sawyer: if he could'a been in two places at once, he would've been. As it was, it seemed sometimes he thought more of Becky Thatcher than he did of Indian Joe's treasure.
