Spice Girls: Giving You Everything
jboothmillard2 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
With all the publicity from the reunion announcement, a tour of live concerts and a new single ("Headlines (Frienship Never Ends)") on Children in Need, it was right that there should be a documentary remembering the highs and lows of when Spice Girls dominated the pop chart. The five girls: Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell all tell their individual versions of the story of their success as the revolutionary girl band, at the time when boy bands dominated. They explained how they got together, about their manager Simon Fuller, their beginnings, their many tours and concerts, their movie, and their many chart topping and popular singles: "Wannabe, "Say You'll Be There", "2 Become 1", "Who Do You Think You Are", "Spice Up Your Life", "Too Much", "Too Much" and those after Halliwell's departure "Viva Forever2 (the last to feature her voice), "Goodbye" and "Holler" (their last before finally splitting). Of course they also explained what it means to be back together, some ideas for the future, a very good documentary that really shows what a phenomenon they really were, and still are. Very good!
