These stories seem old
deickemeyer15 August 2015
The eternal triangle again, two women and one man, a picture which serves to emphasize the folly of wrongdoing and should impress upon those who see it in the oft repeated admonition that the consequences of folly almost invariably return to inflict themselves upon those responsible for the wrong act. A woman deliberately plots vengeance, and when her actions lead to a duel she dramatically rushes between the combatants and receives one of the bullets in her own body. These stories seem old, yet it is almost impossible to escape from the same old plots. Human life contains much of sameness in its manifestations and difficulty is experiences in developing new plots. The difference exists in the way they are worked out. This one may teach an important lesson dramatically, but the way it is worked out is not altogether pleasing. - The Moving Picture World, September 3, 1910
