"Kak lvyonok i cherepakha peli pesnyu" means roughly translated "How the Lion Cub and the Turtle Sang a Song" and this also summarizes this short film perfectly. It was made in the year 1974 by Inessa Kovalevskaya and Sergei Kozlov, so this one is already over 40 years old. It is an animated short film that runs for approximately 8 minutes and has a young lion and a not so young turtle perform together while the lion is wondering about certainly parts of the lyrics. I must say I liked the voice actor for the turtle, but not really the one for the lion, even if I got used to him as well. The one thing missing here is the nice message that you will find in so many other Soviet cartoons. That's why I also think this one is really only for children or for people who are learning Russian. There is no real depth in here, but it's still a solid fun watch I guess. My overall verdict is thumbs-down though.
