Since his days on the hit TV show Parks and Recreation, Chris Pratt has come a long way. The actor has starred in blockbuster films like Jurassic World and The Tomorrow War. While he’s now known for his chiseled physique, it wasn’t always that way. In fact, Pratt weighed almost 300 pounds when he auditioned for his role as Peter Quill in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film. The actor was given less than six months to get in shape.

Before Chris Pratt established himself as an action hero, he received criticism about his weight. And when he was told he was “too fat” for a role, the actor went on a crash diet and stopped drinking to get it. Here’s how it went down:

Chris Pratt may be able to kick some serious ass in his movies, but there's one celeb who he's afraid to see ... Kim Kardashian! The "Jurassic Park" star covers the June issue of GQ, where he talks about his embarrassing past with the reality star. In 2009's "Deep in the Valley," the hunky leading man had a scene with a then-unknown Kim, who played a porn-world bouncer. "She'd never really done an acting gig before," he says. "She was so fu*king sweet, and she was nervous." But he's since gone out of his way to avoid the reality TV star. While filming an episode of "Parks and Recreation," the actor ad-libbed a joke about her that he knew would never go in the show because it was too explicit. "It was a very, very funny joke," he admits. But it was also one he immediately thought shouldn't be heard in public.

There is no real reason why Kim Kardashian should want to be an actress. The reality TV star/global entrepreneur/sex tape survivor/candy jar enthusiast has made untold kamillions of dollars by playing herself constantly. In the process, she’s turned her coterie of “K”-named blood relations into a multimedia brand. (They’re like ’90s Chicago Bulls, and she’s Michael Jordan; they’re like the X-Men, and she’s Wolverine.) But even with all her tremendous success, Lady K isn’t immune to the come-hither lures of pretending to be someone vaguely different from herself. Thus, EW...

For years Kim Kardashian has been one of those generic looking, pretty famous women who I couldn't place in a lineup. I'd see her on the cover of Us Weekly from a distance and think, "Is that the Bachelorette? Is she on the Playboy show? Who is she exactly?" At this point she's stuck around long enough in culture that I basically get the idea, and now that she's moving further ahead with her acting career, she might start getting recognized by people other than tabloid and reality TV junkies. As THR reports, Kardashian is taking her her first role in a feature film since 2009's Deep in the Valley, signing on to Tyler Perry's next film The Marriage Counselor. The plot follows a married couple whose relationship falls apart after his parents move in with them, and the wife, the marriage counselor of the title, "stops practicing what...
