What a blast Buzz Cut is! This has to be the most fun I've had in ages watching a movie, and it is indie horror at its finest. Hard to believe it took this long to get a proper kiwi slasher flick, and Buzz Cut is happy to fill that void. There are lots of nods to classic 80s slashers, and while some of the writing is not for the faint of heart (if you're easily offended it's best to avoid this one), it really does take you back to when slashers were in their prime. There's some great gory practical effects, and some really fantastic Kiwi humour. Buzz Cut is indie horror gold!

Hammer and Pickle of PorMEH3 here! After drunkenly writing a long review for what ended up being the wrong movie, I don't have all that much left in me to say haha. I thoroughly enjoyed this watch though! Perfect silly, campy, horror flick. All the glorious murder! Loved seeing how hashers worked over there and Rigid Beef Whistle is a glorious name! Also really enjoyed the similarities in all the in movie hashers to those I've met in reality (such as the classic older hasher who's always naked). Plus fantastic soundtrack! I'll be reppin Deathnir in Maine! Keep up the great work!

Do you like corny slasher flicks with gratuitous limb separation and head removals?
Do you even know what hashing is?
Do you like bees?
If you just shrugged and said "eh, maybe..." this is the movie for you!
Grab a few beers, your favorite hares and harriettes, and pull up a camp chair to waste some time laughing at the demise of some serious half-minds in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Mostly realistic depiction of hashing (although, he needed way more flour for trail! What are you guys doing, RATIONING the floor?!) and the inevitable silliness that ensues. I don't remember very many songs or accusations...did I get drunk and miss that? Sigh....
On-on your way to an un-bee-lievable romp...and subsequent slaughter. Why can't we make better decisions? Oh! That's right! We're hashers! (Cool bus, tho. Super jelly. Asking our GM for one at the next trail!)
Oh and it's SOOOO typical for a hasher to invite a noob, then not show up...and they are basically terrified and confused the whole time. We're a bunch of jerks!
I'm giving it 8 stars because it needs flipping subtitles! No one can understand you adorable kiwis, especially when you whisper. I'm sure we missed way too many jokes due to not understanding a friggin word you said..
Still...great time...worth every penny I paid!!! I'm sure the regos to their 30th an*lversary will sell out at an alarming rate!

As a proud apiculturist, I'm so touched at this cinematic tribute to our lifestyle. It's high time that people understand the respect this craft deserves, and how bloodthirsty and murderous my people truly are. Everyone should see this triumphant film and enjoy watching those filthy half-minds get what they deserve!

This movie has brilliantly combined horror, comedy, and the Hash House Harrier culture! The attention to craft demonstrated by the creators as well as the cast demonstrates a love for the art missing from so many other films.

For a self funded film this production took no shortcuts. As a general rule I am pretty skeptical of Indie Horror Flicks, but unlike most, Buzz Cut didn't phone it in. The actors were engaged, rarely did the performances come across as amateurish. The practical effects were, notably, spot on. Granted, the premise of the movie being centered around The Hash House Harriers will be hard for people that aren't involved with that subculture to fully appreciate; but the movie captures "hasher culture" pretty dang well (even some of the not so great aspects). It's difficult to walk the line between horror and comedy but this film achieves it.

This movie really had everything - bees, beer and a bounty of fantastic death scenes. You have to love the throw back to classic campy horror films, all the hash humor and the actor's ability to sell everything in a truly bee-lievable way. Ten out of ten, would watch again honey.

Martin Renner hits a home run on this film. I mean why did we not think of a Bee Keeper killer before? Insanely good mix of comedy and horror. A must watch for fans. Another example of Indie films out shinning the studios.

Went into this movie expecting Tromo style cheesiness, but instead was rewarded with a movie that was a true nod to slasher flicks and hashing. Creative villain, great cinematography, good cast, and some solid laughs sprinkled throughout. The entire movie theater was cheering at times. Definitely worth watching!

Wow! This was way better than it had any right to be. This scratched that B-Movie Slasher flick itch better than pretty much any big studio film. Love the practical effects!! Now I just need to figure out where to get a GORB t-shirt... On-On!!

Watched this in a reserved theater showing with a large group of like minded half minds, and I would recommend this be the method of viewing for all. Great fun and this movie certainly was higher quality than I expected, and such fun in a big group viewing!

An 80's style horror flick with Hashing? Yes please!
It's funny because it's true...there always an older gal who loves to get nekkid and drink copious amounts of wine. Loved the actors, funny dialogue, and overall bloody special effects. Bravo and On On!

A delightful and truly entertaining film. The comedy writing is great, the horror scenes are well done, and it's really nice to see the Hash House Harriers in a film. Some of the Kiwi jokes and slang went over my head but that's ok. I feel like the film could have done a bit of a better job explaining what hashing is and why all these people are going running out in the woods, but you definitely don't need to know what hashing is to enjoy the film. A must see if you are a Hasher yourself. I'm sure this will become a cult classic across the global hash house harrier community in no time. Loved every minute.
