Poor promo piece

In a promotional spot for his film "An Inconvenient Truth" Al Gore gets the favours returned as Futurama support his advert. Having enjoyed some of his appearances on Futurama and being a fan of the show I was hoping this would not just be a crass selling exercise. Unfortunately this is just what it is and it is disappointing that it doesn't have more to it than that. Bender appears and is quite derisory of the message that Gore is pushing but it just isn't that funny. The animation is surprisingly poor as well – in fact that is the overriding impression I took away from it. It looks vastly inferior to the series and ultimately leaves the viewer with the feeling that not much effort has gone into it – an impression that is only supported by the script.

It is a shame and I would like to pretend that just for the minute long running time that it was worth it, but I can't. Not terrible but just uninspired and done on the cheap; Futurama and Gore deserve much better than this.
