A kind of paint on automobiles that changes hues depending on the angle and light of the viewer? Cool! I don't know if that's possible, but in today's high-tech world it probably is, and that's part of the story angle in this CSI: Miami episode.
A getaway truck looks red to most, but blue to another eyewitness, who just happens to be "Kyle," "Horatio's Caine's" son. That boy was part of a group sentenced and on their way to jail when others ram the bus and the convicts escape. Kyle does the right thing and doesn't run, instead seeking Horatio's help. Mr. Caine, who hasn't told the kid yet that he's his son, is more than willing to help the boy, giving him good advice on how to act in jail.
Meanwhile, a very interesting twist happens when "Ryan Wolfe" - who we can never get rid of in this program! - agrees to testify for the defense against "Natalia Boa Vista" and the CSI office. Wow, not a good way to get your job back at CSI, but the professional-witness pay is good, as he needs the money. Natalia, who has always messed up since joining CSI as a field agent, actually does the noble thing and doesn't retaliate by providing dirt to the prosecutor on Mr. Wolfe. Good for her! She takes the high road, something she hasn't always done (as other CSI haven't always done, either, to be fair).
Anyway, between the kid, Natalie, Wolfe and the questions about whether the viscous killers will be apprehended all make for a very good episode.
