I enjoyed the previous one very much, I loved this episode, every element was bang on. We had a great story, which contained a murder and an interesting side story, great characters and a wonderful guest cast. Some very funny one liners.

Among the guest cast was the ever beautiful Sara Stewart, brilliant as Lady Mortimer, an excellent character, great actress.

The theme of Frank's bad back was also funny, Lu's daydreaming was also very amusing. This time they had the perfect mix of drama and humour.

Fantastic. 9/10

Sara Stewart and Philip Jackson guest star. Bring back Amber Aga!

Sara Stewart and Philip Jackson guest star in this episode. It just happens that 15 years before, they starred together in the Touch of Frost episode, Near Death Experience.

Philip Jackson plays the butler, so you can guess he knows something that leads to the detective duo solving the crime.

Amber Aga is missed. I wish she returned for season 3 as Detective Inspector Christina Marlowe. Tomos Eames as DS Joe Keeler is too one dimensional.

Bring back Amber please!

Warning: Spoilers
Some allotment holders face eviction from land that has been enjoyed by the community for years.

Since the manorial landowner died, a newcomer has arrived and threatened eviction. The landowner's widow has been very quiet with the ongoing state of affairs.

Frank and Luella investigate and find out that there are deep buried secrets and not everyone claims who they are.

There are several mysteries here. The murder one was easy to figure out courtesy of casting a well known face as the domestic help.

The bigger mystery was the emergence of Fitzallan and what exactly was his hold over Lady Tatiana Mortimer.

It was odd seeing Christopher Timothy with a posh accent. A good blend of comedy and mystery and a story told with great economy.
