Blood Brothers says it all.

Warning: Spoilers
Rip and the troop sees a gathering of Apaches and Comanches. Boone thinks they should consider breaking them up. Why? It could be peace talks, says Rip. And if its war talks, they'll find out soon enough. Rip and the men are there to make maps, not interfere with Indians, Rusty comes upon a young Indian of his age caught in a trap. Rusty offers to help but Pokiwah is suspicious. He thinks the trap was meant to catch Indians. Rusty says it's a bear trap, and if a bear smells his blood then he's in trouble. Nonetheless, Rusty and Rinty help with Rinty doing the heavy lifting by keeping the bear away. Rip and the troopers arrive to help but the Indians arrive and threaten to kill the soldiers. Pokiwah tells his father Tukimawa what actually happened. And Tukimawa is ashamed of his words. Pokiwah says he and Rusty are now blood brothers.

Later that night at a formal ceremony it is made so. Tukimawa has sent for Rip and he hopes that now, having seen through the eyes of the children, that all men are brothers. Tukimawa admits he and Starving Wolf of the Comanche have decided on war. He tells this to Rip so he and Rusty can escape. Tukimawa says among men there has been too much blood spilled, there is only hate. Rip says not so, Rusty's family was destroyed by the Apache but Rusty's heart was big enough to save Pokiwah. Can the Apache's heart be smaller than that of a small boy's? These words sting Tukimawa and he says he will tell Starving Wolf that the Apache will not make war. But he cannot say if Starving Wolf will still go for war.

Tukimawa says to Starving Wolf it is wrong to kill the White Man. The Great Spirit has given life to both the Indian and the White Man. What the Great Spirit gives is wrong to take away. Starving Wolf goes for the insult. Because two children have become brothers, Tukimawa now is now a child and cannot stand in council with men. One of Starving Wolf's braves says the Comanche are too few for war, they need the Apache. Starving Wolf says they will capture the two boys and force Tukimawa to go to war.

Rusty and Pokiwah are out playing hide and seek. Rusty goes off to find his brother but tells Rinty he can't come. Rinty tries to get Rip and the troopers to follow but can't find them. Rip tells Tukimawa he can't find boys. Tukimawa tells Rip the Comanche have the boys. It's up to Rin Tin Tin now. At the last minute, Rinty finds the trail. Pokiwah feels it his fault that Rusty has been captured, but Rusty says no, it's good they are brothers as that has prevented war. Rip and the soldier ride in to rescue the boys but it looks bad. Rinty has reached Tukimawa, and his braves attack the Comanche.

In the end Tukimawa is grateful to the Fighting Blue Devils for rescuing the boys. Now he hopes the White Man and Indian will live in peace. An uneven episode but it was a show for children; and the message it presented was one good for any age.
