At approximately 6:02 in the short, as the Tardigrade is making its way back to the Enterprise, the underside of the saucer section shows the registry number NCC-1701-A. The scene, however, is showing the destruction of the Enterprise at the end of Star Trek III The Search for Spock, which would make the ship NCC-1701 (no A). The NCC-1701-A was built to replace this ship.
During the Klingon battle, the Enterprise's name and registry are rotated counter-clockwise on the top of the saucer. It should be centered on the center line.
The main function of the deflector dish is to bounce objects out of the Enterprise's flight path at great distances, the exact opposite of having Ephraim's asteroid smashing into it.
