I really wanted to like this. Butttttt it just kept getting worse and worse. So full of really dumb cliches from the sweet but misguided dad, the little brother who tried to be cute but was just annoying and then throw in the looser ex boyfriend trying to take advantage of the younger sister, the trans character, it just goes on and on. Why don't people just talk to each other and trust each other and they could avoid all the unnecessary drama. I did hang on until the end but it was a wasted couple of hours of my life. I was just hoping it would get better. NOPE, if anything it got worse. Lots of movies are predictable but the actors and the story make us watch and we are entertained. This one not so much.

This follows the storyline of every other RomCom. Two people are in love. Then something causes a rift in the relationship. Then they realize how much they love each other and make up. It's the same.
Except this has a unique and potentially interest twist. The girl's father wrote a book entitled "Most Guys Are Losers". So when he went home with her to meet the family, you know that sparks are going to fly. The only problem is that the movie never lived up to its potential. The writers just got lazy I guess.
And of course at the end, they have a wonderful aren't we such a wonderful well adjusted happy family dinner together, and then if that's not sappy enough, they have dance scene with a horrible song, and they all dance a happy dance. It's like the writers got together and said, "Let's figure a way to put the cherry on top toe make the ending unbearably horrible." And they succeeded.

I could not look away. I kept thinking it couldn't get worse, but it kept getting worse. I cannot believe I sat and watched this whole entire movie. It's so unbelievably bad. It's an hour and a half of my life that I will simply never get back. Well, that and the $6.99 I paid to rent it. The acting is terrible, the writing is awful, it feels like it was edited in someone's basement. The soundtrack is decent, but that is literally the only positive thing I can think of to say. Was this someone's middle school film project? Get out while you can, save yourself 7 bucks and watch old episodes of Planet of the Apes....they are WAY HIGHER production quality, acting, writing and directing than this.

Worst movie ever. I swear a bunch of 2020s tropes and PC plot concepts (genius 9 year old who can do things on computers that no adult understands, adopted trans son needs shaving lessons, all young men can not be trusted cause they are horny, guy willing to put his girlfriend's dream first, most fathers are drunken a-holes, it's okay to walk off your job if something personal comes up....) were thrown into an AI script writer and this movie came out. Add to that plotlines for multiple characters where they are served booze against their expressed wishes by the bar owner and his employees to the point of drunkenness.

I guess this is how some guys think girls thought process about boys is . . . Movie was not funny , not should be even in comedy section, it mostly talks about how boy should act to be a winner .
" if a boy is close to his mother, it means he is not a loser " " if a boy doesn't wanna dance because he is protecting his ego , he is (*swear*) . If a boy doesn't wanna dance because he fears, he is (*swear*)."
Also all men in this movie act like they get anti testosterone treatment lol dudes daughter brings a new boyfriend to home and her father is like " do you drink boy ?" Lol what kind of pain is this i never experienced it before.
