Goblin? More like gobblin' these balls
sageisafrog2 January 2022
Worst acting I've ever seen. No one in this movie has a normal conversation. Every time The Goblin eats someone it looks like they're 69ing and I'm pretty sure the mom is preggo with it's child at the end. Hilarious but unintentionally.

Oh, this was bad...
paul_haakonsen31 October 2020
Well, I must admit that I had expected just a bit more than what "Goblin" turned out to be. I mean, at least I had hoped for a proper creature feature of sorts, but instead I was served a slow paced storyline with a horribly CGI animated goblin.

One might hope that a movie such a the 2020 "Goblin" from writer Rosa Parnake and director Chris Lee would have turned out to be an interesting movie and a good addition to the creature feature genre, but that was most certainly not the case.

The storyline in "Goblin" was just so generic it was boring to watch. And it didn't help much that the pacing of the movie was so incredibly slow. Nor did it help much that the dialogue was as horrible as the characters were one-dimensional. Yeah, it just wasn't the finest moment of cinema history here.

For a horror movie, then "Goblin" was anything but scary. There was virtually nothing scary in the movie, unless you count really, really bad CGI as being scary. If so, then you're in for a treat. It puzzles me that movies with this level is dubious CGI still get to see the light of day in 2020.

"Goblin" is a movie that you might as well give a very wide berth, because it was not entertaining, nor was it particularly enjoyable either. Yet, I managed to sit through the ordeal right up to the bitter end.

My rating of "Goblin" is a mere two out of ten stars. You are best off spending your time, money and effort elsewhere, trust me.

Emotions all over the place
staunton-gary31 October 2020
This is one hell of a mess and was the longest 68 minutes of my life. Terrible acting efforts, however, Joe Cummings managed to pull off his character. I wanted to punch the screen at my frustration at watching this. David Mason, wtf, has he never acted before, or even had any social interaction with anybody. Ashley Rene is well fit and kept my anger from boiling over into screen violence. Her acting ability might improve with experience. 1 star for the movie, Ashley Rene gets the other star. Expect nothing from this movie, put it on, walk out of the room, pop in after 11 minutes, hang around for about 20 seconds, leave again. You are safe to return after another 57 minutes.

Did she DO the Goblin?
toychewie14 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Look- it is a low budget movie with badly done CGI, and I understand that. There's nothing wrong with that, I think the flaws give the film some sort of charm, but there is one massive issue. The end.

Sarah's abusive husband is killed by the hell spawn that is the Mucinex Mascot looking Goblin, we get a screen that says "nine months later" and then we see a backyard full of feces. Piles and piles of rancid Goblin droppings, Sarah puts a bowl of dog food down in her shed, looks back with BEDROOM EYES, and we see the green bastard. What do we see after that? Sarah rubbing her massive pregnant belly.

Did Sarah have sex with the Goblin?

WHY DOES THE MOM GET IMPREGNATED BY THE GOBLIN AT THE END LMAO

well, it was heavily implied.

Also, i hated this movie. Overall, the plot was very generic, the quality was horrible, the dialogue was horrible, but in all honesty, it was pretty damn funny to watch.

Also, why is there only one track playing this entire movie?

Just REALLY bad.
rlb1-566-72375220 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Not gonna waste time trying to explain. This was just so bad all the way around. Looks like it was made in somebodies back yard where mom wrote the script dad had a camera n son or daughter made a goblin on their pc using basic cgi program n they said lets make a movie. The best part was the silouette of goblin eating that king sized A-HOLE of the drunk loser husband. Just bad, bad, bad. Dont waste any time on this. Life is WAAAY to short.

The Great Thing About This Movie...
Mehki_Girl17 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
.. Is it let's you know from the very first scene that it's a piece of crap.

Unlike other crappy movies that waste at least 20 minutes of your time before you realize you're watching a piece of crap, this movie lets you know right away!

By saving you time, you can just turn off your TV and go in the kitchen and make yourself a sandwich.

If you keep watching you have nobody to blame, but yourself!

I did watch it and I'm blaming nobody but myself!

One could do much worse
methis20 June 2021
Yep, it's a shoe-string budget. Yes, the CGI is pretty crap, but at least it's kept to a minimum. Though played straight, it's darkly funny, and I believe intentionally so. I'd go so far as to say that this is not really a horror film at all, except for the dysfunctional family depicted. The cast were pretty good; the antagonists made you hate them, the lead actress was sympathetic and easy on the eyes, and the kid playing her son was cute as hell. I can only guess that the negative reviews/ratings were from folks who were expecting a different kind of film and/or didn't get the humor. This is a quirky little film whose strengths outweigh its weaknesses, and is worth a watch.

Worst Movie Ever
mcclillie21 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
To start out, this movie had horrible CGI. The plot is all over the place. The ending is... questionable. The goblin eats all of the protagonists family, but she gets knocked up, BY THE GOBLIN.

Just a Green Man
nogodnomasters13 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A family with issues moves into a neighborhood where the pets are going missing. We know from the title it is not a bear or a cougar. Danny (Joe Cummings) has some anger management issues and his son (Weston Banning) is a hateful teen. Sara (Ashley Rene') is trying to cope with her near mute son Sam (Houston Towe). Ashley and Sam have seen the creature while Danny and son make fun of them.

The sound track was annoying. It was designed to make the viewer feel tension, making the feature more about the family drama than the titled creature. The acting was bad as were all the characters.

Guide: F-word, implied rough sex, brief nudity (Ashley Rene')

A romantic tale
alanlowkeylikesdogs1 November 2021
I watched most of the film (had to fast forward through some of the parts though, because the acting was...clunky) but-the romantic development between the main actress and the goblin was heart wrenching. Romeo and Juliet can eat their heart out-these two made me laugh, cry, scream, pee-everything. I can't wait to read some fanfiction on the two. Might write some of my own. I hope that they both raise their child well together.

Not too bad for a very low budget movie
myth13881 July 2021
I really liked the father, but some of the other acting was mediocre. Little slow, but for a very low budget film it was not too bad. Dialogue was pretty good and the CGI Goblin wasn't that terrible for the budget. Wish there was blood though.

Certainly something...
albino_slug-8090128 April 2022
This is a posterchild of why you should not use CGI with a microbudget. It will almost inevitably come out looking cartoony and ridiculous. Combining that with a dark storyline about domestic abuse and over-the-top acting by the father and older son, you end up with almost constant tonal whiplash.

It's the kind of bad movie you find yourself enjoying because it feels like everyone involved cared about what they were putting together. I've seen way too many films where it feels like everyone is just there for a paycheck, so this is refreshing in that regard.

ACTING
snevarez-3950114 November 2021
The acting was a little bit off. So was the editing for the Goblin. It looked like an instagram filter you put on the ground. The concept of the movie was pretty good though. Just the acting threw me off. Overall, it was okay.

TW: ANIMAL ABUSE
calebmatthews-6931719 November 2021
Ignoring the awful cinematography, acting, writing and directing, the thing that truly upset me was the animal abuse. There was a dog "acting" in this movie, but some of the squeals and very scared sounds that the dog made sounded much too real and that indicates that the dog was abused during the filming of this movie. It's disgusting and absolutely horrendous. That dog deserves better.

I think I Just Watched Goblin Vore!
icocleric17 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Goblin design, and CGI really needs a lot of work, and maybe less vore. Or at least make the vore funny! Also the ending was really confusing, did the Goblin get her pregnant? Who knows, maybe?

Because she did have a scar, and said to her abusive husband that it was too soon to try again. That she had to wait?

One good thing about this film is that the husband is trash, and you're really glad when he gets vored.

Simply...inspiring.
teensystag30 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
God, this movie. Left me horrified, moved, and impressed. My god. The goblin is so realistic looking, I mean, I honestly thought I was watching a documentary. The characters have such depth, the actors have such range...it's phenomenal. We need more goblin representation in the media and in Hollywood, as they are incredibly important figures in everyday life. I even married one, and am now carrying its child, like the lead in this movie. Loved it.

Movie was Meh
valionho25 September 2022
This movie was about what I expected for lower budget,in house production. I tend to fall asleep if I'm not captivated so I missed the ending of thie film. I am half tempted to revisit just to see where it goes. Do they just cast anyone nowadays? I have seen children playing in the back yard with better skills. The old neighbor man was horrendous. I would blame it on language barrier but, I'm convinced that accent is just as bad as the acting. I don't even think the others were timing their lines correctly. The goblin was more convincing. Joe Cummings was the only actor in this film in my opinion.

I am astounded by the incredible actinf
claireosmond-677428 June 2022
My favorite scene was "oh gOd". It really added a lot to the film and I could listen the the soundtrack on repeat for the rest of my days, but I don't really have to because it played on a loop the entire film. Danny jr is the next best actor, a beacon of light for the acting community. He will be the next Johnny Depp.

Grandma loved it!
rachela-5794729 October 2021
Honestly, my favourite movie as of yet. Watched it with grandma and she approves. Not sure if the goblin knocked up Sarah or her dead husband though? Besides the possibly disturbing ending, pretty cool plot.

This movie changed my life
carynnoble30 December 2022
Best movie I've ever watched, feelings during this masterpiece of a film include shocked, scared, delighted, and inspired. The ending brought me to tears, very heartwarming and a lovely film to watch surrounded by loved ones. I fell in love with the characters and I know many of the lines by heart. Goblin brought me and my friends much closer together. This movie is for sure on my top ten movie list, maybe even my top five movie list. I would watch this movie every minute of every hour, every hour of every day, and every day of every month if I could. I loved this movie with my whole entire heart.

A Masterpiece
mtgamerboy15 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Goblin vore unlocked a new part of me. I can't. The one 45 second piss scene after the violent hate sex scene really made me feel an emotional wave. I thought after the first one i wouldn't have to worry, but oh how my hubris struck when the next one came. Just like the soul-less eyes of the main character, i too now feel nothing.
