The Chateau Marmont, where Daisy stays, is a classic West L.A. institution and considered the original Rock and Roll Hotel. It has been featured in many novels such as Walter Mosley's Blood Grove and is rumored to be the inspiration for the Eagles' Hotel California.
During the Diamond Head music festival, Daisy's fluttery striped caftan, worn over a purple crochet halter top, was supposed to resemble a butterfly and a contrast to the darker, witchy outfits she wears as the band becomes more popular.
There is a fleeting shot of Camilla sitting in the window of the Laurel Canyon house that is reminiscent of the famous Joni Mitchell photo taken by Henry Diltz at Joni's Laurel Canyon home in the 1960s, right down to the green window frame.
