Britain's Prince Philip phoned Heston Blumenthal to ask for his fish and chips recipe. The 87-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth was so impressed with the bizarre food he ate at Blumenthal's experimental restaurant The Fat Duck in Berkshire, south west England, he wanted to cook it himself. Blumenthal told Britain's The Independent newspaper: "We were amazed. He has called the restaurant and asked us to send over the original recipe for my fish and chips so he could make it himself. "He said he had watched my programme on the BBC, 'Fish And Chips: In Search Of Perfection', and said he was a big fan."
