I have Reviewed OVER 600 "Christmas Films, & Christmas Television Movies , & Television Specials". Please BEWARE Of films and specials with just one review! For instance When "It's a POSITIVE" chances are that the reviewer was involved with the production. "If its Negative" then they may have a grudge against the film for whatever reason. I am fare. I am on a mission to watch every Christmas Movie ever produced. Since 2014 I average 100 per year.

As a person in recovery I always have always been a huge fan of the television show "Mom". On on episode that aired on 12/12/2019 was one of the best written shows of its entire run.

In this episode its the Christmas time. Bonnie and Christie (Allison Janney) has an out of town guest witch is Bonnie Sponsee, a woman who is also in recovery.

When this lady (KATE MICUCCI) tells (Christi) that she has no relationship with her daughter because of her addiction Christi tells her about her past with her mother. Christi can laugh about it but in reality this makes Bonnie very sad and realizes how she failed as a parent.

When I thought of Christmas episode and seeing all the promo pics on Instagram, I was hoping it would be full of mom-and-daughter moments while keeping it hilarious as usual, but no, instead of that Patty, a guest character, comes and to me, disrupt almost every personal moments between the two characters. The overall storyline is okay, yet lack of the usual hilariousness, and with appearance of Patty, this is a 7/10 to me

For the most part I enjoyed the episode. The character of Patty does not add much to this show. I also remember several seasons ago Bonnie said she was abandoned on Christmas Eve with newborn Christy, yet no mention of her recent birthday. This would have added more dimension to the story I think.

Bonnie hijacked Christmas again. Christy wanted to spend it with her Mom, but Mom brings in bug-eyed Patty to be the third wheel for Christmas. Patty has all the personality of a pet rock. It would have been nicer if they spent some time with the equally bland Wendy, who is always ignored and marginalized by everyone.

So like any addict, Bonnie makes it all about her, and how sad she is that she was an awful Mom. The irony is that she continues to be an awful Mom by sabotaging her daughter's Christmas plans, and spending more time on Patty than on Christy. Meanwhile Bonnie continues to be the center of attention, which is what Bonnie always wants to be. She is a true addict, and her recovery is a joke.

If Kate becomes a regular on the show, I will stop watching! She brought her Debbie downer character from The Big Bang Theory over to a great show. No one want to see this character. She is depressing and a horrible actress. 86 her immediate please.
