Serbian writer, Mihajlo Pantic, leads us into the first episode with a story from his book Being Rock 'n' Roll, about Jolana, his first guitar. The short scene reflects the magic of listening to the Evening with the radio show during the 70's. The second episode is presented by Slobodan Tisma's reading of a passage from his novel Bernardi's room. He takes us back to 1974, on the 6th birthday of the Evening with the radio show, when Smak and Bjelo Dugme performed together for the very first time. Later on, it brings the story of Dzuboks and Rock, two most influential music magazines in former Yugoslavia, both edited by Petar Popovic. Moving on to Novi Sad, it's famous Studio M Radio, Vranesevic's laboratory, Synagogue, Strazilovo - searching for the answer on why rock and roll used to have "some soul" but now became a heartless business. The third episode begins with the story Find and circle from Goran Petrovic's novel Differences. The road takes us to Sarajevo, the city that lost its soul, and further on to Skoplje to see Vlatko Stefanovski and Velibor Dzarovski, great artists who have lost their native country and "moved from a six-room apartment to a one-room apartment". The road ends in Montenegro, Herceg Novi and Perast, trying to find out why talented Montenegrins have built their careers only in other parts of ex-Yugoslavia. The road takes us to Zagreb, Croatia, where Petar Popovic remembers the golden era of rock and roll. He visits cemetery Mirogoj and pays respect to his late colleagues, rock critics, Drazen Vrdoljak and Darko Glavan. Next, we visit Croatia Records, music editor Sinisa Skarica and discuss favorite songs with Jura Stublic and Jasenko Houra. The fifth episode begins with a passage from Ugljesa Sajtinac's novel Quite modest gifts. Visiting Ljubljana, Slovenia, and meeting Janez Boncina Benc, legendary rock singer, who wonders whether he can go to retirement. Discussing how Slovenians escaped Balkan by territory only to discover Balkan in themselves, with Zoran Predin. Closing the circle around our story, we meet with Gibonni, Croatian singer, to talk about his project The hangout for the elderly rockers, in which he has one suite apartment prepared for Petar Popovic. The last station is the cemetery Topcider. Petar tells the magical story about his late father and Ava Gardner.
